Climate Action Planning in Woolwich

The Woolwich Climate Resilience Committee helps our town plan for a safer, stronger future by identifying local risks, supporting informed decision-making, and working with partners to protect our people, places, and community values.

To support this work, we led a state-funded climate vulnerability assessment for the Town of Woolwich. Through this assessment, we explored how environmental changes can impact our people, infrastructure, and the natural environment through local data collection, community survey, literature review, stakeholder interviews, in-person events, and exploration of state-owned resources and national databases. Equipped with this new information, we are exploring strategies to address these changes that will inform a climate action plan. This plan will guide actions that residents, the climate action committee, and the town can take to ensure we can all be safer and more resilient in our own homes and community.
