GMRI's Scientist To Go program allows for students to meet with a wide range of scientists and to learn a little bit more about what they do. It is intended for grades 5-8, but learners of all ages are welcome to attend.

These 45 minute sessions are made up of around 20–25 minutes of presenting from the scientist and around 15–20 minutes of questions and answers from students.

Scientists will focus on answering the following questions:

• What inspired you to become a scientist and how did you get to where you are today?
• What does it look like to conduct your research?
• How does your research relate to climate change and/or the Gulf of Maine?
• Why is your research important?

We hope these presentations will expose students to a diverse group of scientists and science career paths, including both formal and informal science, and let them see science in ways that they may not get to do in a traditional classroom setting.
