Goodbye REU Interns
Tidings | Apr 20, 2020
As the weather turns and students head back to school, we say goodbye to our summer interns. This year, our intern program was bolstered by an all-new NSF-funded Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program.
The program paired nine student interns with researchers from our lab. In consultation with their mentors, students designed and conducted intensive, independent research projects.
“Throughout the summer, these interns made real contributions to our research program and gained valuable experience as they prepare to take their next steps as scientists,” said Senior Research Scientist Dr. Graham Sherwood, who manages the program. “We couldn’t have asked for a better group.”
