After conducting a national search, we welcomed Maggie Hendricks as our new Chief Development Officer this spring.

Maggie is an enthusiastic nonprofit leader driven by her genuine interest in connecting people to opportunities that empower them to change their communities.

She comes to GMRI from the South Carolina Aquarium in Charleston, where she led a team that recently completed a $25M comprehensive campaign.

"I’ve spent my life on the coast, exploring everything our marine ecosystems and coastal economy have to offer. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work alongside others with a shared passion for the ocean.
