A Year of Convening Emerging Fishery Leaders

In November, we hosted our final Marine Resource Education Program (MREP) workshop of 2018, in Tampa, FL. This capped a big year for the MREP team, in which they offered nine workshops across three separate regions of the U.S. These workshops bring together fishermen, managers, and scientists in a neutral setting outside the regulatory process.
"It has been incredibly eye-opening,” said one participating fisherman. “This program is a MUST for anyone looking to get involved in fisheries management.”
